Walk Through the Storm with Confidence

Once while Jesus was talking with His friends, He made a powerful statement. He said that His burden was light and His yoke was easy (Matthew 11:30). In other words, He has paid the price and done all of the work for the Christian. Life should not be a struggle. If the burden we are carrying is heavy, He didn’t give it to us, because His burden is light.

That does not mean there are no attacks in life. The Bible says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). That is good news! You may be standing in the middle of a battlefield, and a thousand may fall next to you and ten thousand may fall to your right, but if you put your trust in Him, believe His promise, and speak His promise, then nothing will by any means harm you (Psalm 91). Regardless of the size of the battle or the severity of the attack, at the end of the day you will be standing in victory if you have your trust (faith) in Him and believe His promise in your heart.

So, what does that mean to us? It simply means this: God’s Word says that we have been given authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). When we speak with the authority we have been given, and truly believe in our hearts that what we say will come to pass and that we will see the victory (Mark 11:23), then worry, fear, and stress will be far from us. We can walk through the storm (battlefield) with confidence and joy.
