Over the last few months there has been a great move of the Holy Spirit in the Church. Even though we are living in perilous times, the power of God has not been shaken. Major earthquakes, tsunamis, and nuclear radiation are constantly in the news, but this does not affect the Kingdom of God. Repossessions are at an all time high, retirement funds have been broken, and many are looking to find employment in order to support their families. But the Kingdom of God has not been shaken.
As we are rapidly approaching the return of Jesus, the enemy has launched an all out attack on the Body of Christ. He has been attempting to destroy churches, ministries, and families. In some places it may look like he is having victory, but he should not start his victory dance too early because the Kingdom of God has not been shaken.
His greatest attack is against the generals and commanders in God's army. He knows if he can destroy the shepherd, the sheep scatter. He knows that a fallen leader can be used as advertisement for the kingdom of darkness and he holds up the fallen leader in the face of the Church for ridicule in an attempt to bring discouragement to the weak. But even though the enemy has a plan and even though he thinks victory is within his grasp, you must remember this. The Kingdom of God has not been shaken. (Heb. 12:28).
The key to victory is in your mouth. Your life and your death are in the power of your tongue. By your own words you will be justified and delivered or you will be ridiculed and condemned. (Matt. 12:37). The key to victory is in your mouth.
All through God's Word we find that God was moved by the words of man. When the Hebrews were in the wilderness, they spoke words that did not line up with God's command. And the Scripture tells us that the Lord heard the sound of their words and was angry.
In over forty years of ministry, I have counseled with countless couples who have had their families split and lives destroyed. In every case, without exception, it was the result of the words that were spoken. When words move into the air, they contain faith or fear. They activate the power of God or the power of the enemy. A Christian speaking words of doubt and unbelief or words of strife and division is being a traitor to the Kingdom of God. God not only demands love and integrity, but He will not tolerate the actions of a traitor.
When a soldier is in battle in the army, he can be holding a powerful weapon. With this weapon, he can either shoot the enemy or he can shoot himself in the foot. The Word of God can bring life or death and your tongue is the trigger. The choice is yours.
Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, signs in the sky, and waves of the sea in the last days. (Mark 13:7,8). We are in the last days. But none of these things shall come near our dwelling (Ps. 91:10) and no weapon formed against us will prosper (Isa. 54:17), because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Phil. 4:13).
The Kingdom of God has not been shaken. (Heb. 12:28). In the army of God, we have access to the greatest power of the universe. Your life and your death are in the power of your tongue. (Prov. 18:21).
